Hello, I am trying to get my $200.00 deposit back from my rental from Providence, RI, and returned the vehicle to the same location. It was rented on September 11th, 2024, and returned on September 16th.
My Rental Record number is 37918****. I see no pending charge on my Credit Card when I check my account, so I am sure it has not been released.
Would you please check this and credit my Visa credit card back the $200.00 that I paid for the deposit? Thank you, Hugh Smith.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Thru the Better Business Bureau
I later noticed a $30.00 per day upcharge for this vehicle. Additionally, I prepaid tolls for 1 day. After leaving the airport, I called Dollar customer service to see if Orlando airport location was open to return the vehicle as I was only renting for 1 day. I was told they were closed and discovered not know when they would open.
I called again the following day and told the same thing. On the 3rd day I was told when they would open and how long I would have to return the vehicle. On returning, I was charged for 3 days of rental and 3 days of uncharged and tolls.
I complained and was told there was not a phone number to reach the manager who was unavailable. Who do I speak to with this???

Paid for someone else rental car
They rented one vehicle to two different people. Then used my credit card to pay for his rental. I was even charged his gas and road towels now

I ordered a car online on 12/24/2024 for a pick-up date on 12/26/2024. I cancelled it due to not having the physical card I used online to complete the purchase. I was given a cancellation number, but no funds have been returned to my account.

I would like to thank both Henry and his staff. Since Dollar was a lowest price I tried with Dollar again, making sure that I rsvp through Dollars own site.
Called to confirm 5 hrs before hand.
It worked great. I look forward to making Dollar my go-to.
It was to be a sprint or similar size. I had it reserved with the complete breakdown of my confirmation number. And my priceline number as well once I got there. II was told that they did not have a sprint and that the only thing they had was a vehicle that was twice the amount.
Regardless of the fact that I had the reservation, he told me at the dollar's rental that they did not have that and the price line was incorrect when they offervehicles online for reservations. I was going to get a 3 day. Car rental for a $117 complete. I ended up with a 2 day car rental with a $200 deposit and a $156 for 2 days.
There was no assistance only that the gentleman kept saying. You can't count on that. You have to call directly to the airport rental office and go from there. I would appreciate some kind of assistance.

Change of pick up time

Unfortunately I cannot change my booking myself since I booked through another website. Reference 0D0TFR
We are going to rent a car at Palma de Mallorca airport on April 11 and our flight times changed so that we would like to pick up our car two hours early.
Do you have an email address of the dollar rent a car station at Palma de Mallorca airport so that I can get in contact with them?

Beware! Please save yourself money, time, and frustration and book a car from anyone other than Dollar.
If Dollar is your cheapest option, don't worry, you'll pay later. If you have a question or change of plans that require reservation edits where you need to speak with a human, good luck staying on hold for 30 minutes up to 2 hours. If you are lucky enough to reach a human (that you can't understand), they will jack up the price so much that you begin to believe that you've been redirected to scammers from an independent company in India where they get a cut of the price increase. My flight was cancelled, and I needed to change my pick-up/drop-off dates.
You can't make these kinds of changes on the website forcing you to call. I called the number on the website and double-checked it with Google. After being on hold for 45 minutes, the 'agent' told me that my original $450 reservation was now going to cost $1400. When I questioned the price, I was put on hold.
When the 'agent' returned, I was given a lower price of $1050. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was promptly disconnected. Not having time to wait on the phone again for half the day, I gave up and hoped my reservation had not been cancelled when I arrived at my destination. Upon arrival to pick up my car at the airport Dollar Rental counter, I was shocked, but relieved, to find that my reservation was still active and I was only charged $125 for changing my reservation.
So... who did I speak with on the phone via the number on the Dollar website who wanted to charge me over double for the same reservation? Though I was grateful that I ultimately received a Dollar car, I and others waited over an hour in line to get to the counter while watching every other car rental company sail through their lines leaving only Dollar with a standing line of over 30 people with children and luggage waiting an hour+.
Though the Dollar airport counter employees seemed to be trying, it was a hot mess behind the counter with employees struggling with their computer system, keys, crowd management, and frustrated customers. Please save yourself time, money, and frustration and rent a car from anywhere else!

The customer service representative was very helpful and explained that I would pay 13.99 dollars per day, as I have been unable to pay tolls directly with cashier, and this would be paid when I return the car.

Upon arriving at the Birmingham Airport to pick up a rental, I was told that your company had no SUVs . I reserved the car on 11/18/24.
I had been receiving text all day in regards to the rental but none that stated that there were no cars available. All that Im requesting is that my monies be refunded and Im sent a letter to clarify that there was no rental received by me.
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Follow up before you trap to the Birmingham Airport because Dollar rental will leave you wounded with no solid responses as to why.

I would like to know where I should drop off the vehicle I rented with Dollar car in Orlando Florida airport. I really can't find the exact location where I should make the return anywhere.

I picked up a car at MKE General Mitchell Intl Airport on Sunday December 29th 2024 at12:30pm and returned it on Wednesday January 1st 12:50pm. I received a phone call from Dollar Thursay January 2nd 2024 asking did I return the rental or extend it.
I told them I returned it. Dollar has been charging me every since Wednesday New Years Day.

This dollar car rental office left me with one option, pay twice as much and a large deposit. I had reserved a small sprint (simular) with priceline.
I had all the RSVP on my phone and confirmation. I rented for errands, no trips. The man who I first spoke with (mgr) who said they could not see anything and you have to rsvp 24 hrs in advance. This made no sense as I had shopped online for the best deal.
It was for 3 days at a total of $112. total, and he said nope. The best he had totaled $156. FOR 2 days and a deposit, I might get back on Wed.
I am so confused as I've never experienced this before.
He blames PRICELINE, and PRICELINE said what HE did is not correct. Why is Dollar renting at the very small airport. DO NOT use Dollar unless you are willing to go through them directly, as the mgr said. I am not sure why PRICELINE, EXPEDIA.
BOOKING.COM and more. I wanted a spark, ended up with a V8 gas guzzler. Very disappointing. Then I was told that my $200.
deposit would take two business days for refund. Since it was sent to the bank late yesterday, I am w/o funds till Wed or Thursday. I am so confused, and it completely changed our plans. I drove 50 miles pd $126 with my deposit in limbo and all this for two days.
I have never encountered such a rip-off with a car rental agency. So, he said PRICELINE does not know which cars they have. He said I needed to call him to get rentals. I rented a car from Dollar at RSW airport. I'm returning it tomorrow at Tampa airport.
I was given a receipt for a charge of $110.28, which I charged to my credit card.
When I checked my credit card, I was charged $318. My rental record number is 40239**** and my name is Lucy Stanton.

It seems like the problem lies more with Priceline. Don't they back their services with any sort of guarantee?
Perhaps you have some sort of recourse through Priceline since they are the ones who offered you a service that ultimately didn't exist or made a deal with you that they did not have the authority to make.

My second try working directly with Dollar was seamless and Henry and staff made it so. You might be on to something with priceline and I've never had a problem. Call Dollar or go to their site.
