Renting a car at dollar was the worst experience we've ever had.The service at the pick up location in New York fell short, and the car was dirty and damages when we received it.

Further complaints are about the dangerous conditions the car was in. First of all, the breaks were stingy driving down hill, or at a high speed in general. Secondly, the car had difficulties switching gears when driving up-hill. We tried to mail dollar about these problems, but they never replied.

Furthermore, when dropping off the car in Miami the employee tried to charge us for an 'empty' tank while it was half full. Finally, the company charged us a one-way fee of $750+/- !!!

We spoke to the local manager (name: Jennifer) who told us that she'd never seen a charge that high, it normally is around $100.She tried to help us but wasn't able to due to the fact that the agency in New York froze the access to the bill.

Please immediately contact the author of this review to discuss pricing issue of dollar rent a car car rental and associated monetary loss in the amount of $600. Dollar Rent A Car needs to offer any options to resolve the issue according to poster's claims.
