We rented a car on line for our four day vacation. We went thru orbitz and were given dollar rental car reserving a managers choice four door intermediate car.
We reserved it for February 12. We flew into Sacramento airport on the 10th. Initially we paid 189.00 and had a balance of 59.00. This was what was required.
When we got to the rental desk we were told because we flew in two days before they would not give us the car. The lady was the rudest individual ever. She made no sense and said our 189.00 would be kept.
She in fact said we could walk when we said we were without transportation. After no response on the phone with dollar them saying no manager was available another customer was at the desk also being told rudely she could not rent a car so I asked for names.
We had to call someone an hour away to come to us. After all this time she said come back up. She said Ill give you a car but we are going to hold a five hundred dollar deposit. Then she said if we wanted a four door we had to add another 120.00 to our bill
Dollar owes us complete refund for such a travesty.
We asked in our next day review if we wanted someone to calll YES. No one has.
Monetary Loss: $120.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
